Ο Εντ Μίλιμπαντ είναι ο νέος ηγέτης των Εργατικού Κόμματος στη Βρετανία, σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση που εκδόθηκε στο συνέδριο του κόμματος στο Μάντσεστερ. Ο Εντ νίκησε οριακά τον αδελφό του Ντέηβιντ, με 50,65% έναντι 49.35% με τους Eντ Μπολς, Άντι Μπέρναμ και Νταιάν Άμποτ να συμπληρώνουν τη σειρά των υποψηφίων.
Μιλώντας με κολακευτικά λόγια για τους συνυποψηφίους του, ο Εντ Μίλιμπαντ δήλωσε ότι «σήμερα χαράζουμε μια γραμμή και προχωράμε μπροστά σαν μια ομάδα»
