Περισσότεροι από 1.100 άνθρωποι έχουν χάσει τη ζωή τους στην επαρχία Χιμπέρ Πακτουνκούα και τουλάχιστον 40 στο πακιστανικό Κασμίρ, σύμφωνα με τις αρχές.
«Οι πλημμύρες έχουν προκαλέσει το θάνατο περισσότερων από 1.100 ανθρώπων σε διαφορετικές περιοχές της επαρχίας Χιμπέρ Πακτουνκούα και έχουν επηρεάσει περισσότερους από 1,5 εκατομμύριο κατοίκους», ανακοίνωσε ο υπουργός Πληροφοριών της επαρχίας Μιάν Ιφτικάρ Χουσάιν. «Πρόκειται για τις χειρότερες πλημμύρες στην επαρχία Χιμπέρ Πακτουνκούα και στην ιστορία της χώρας», πρόσθεσε.
