Βία και δεκάδες χιλιάδες πρόσφυγες στην Κιργιζία.

Πάνω από 80.000 υπολογίζονται οι πρόσφυγες που έχουν εγκαταλείψει τις εστίες τους στην Κιργιζία. Οι περισσότεροι γυναίκες, παιδιά και ηλικιωμένοι. Εξαιτίας των βίαιων εθνοτικών συγκρούσεων, μεταξύ Κιργίζιων και Ουζμπέκων. Πρόκειται για τις χειρότερες συγκρούσεις ανάμεσα στις δύο κοινότητες τα τελευταία 20 χρόνια. Άλλες 100.000 είναι έτοιμοι να περάσουν τα σύνορα. Κάποιοι φέρουν τραύματα από σφαίρες, ενώ υπάρχουν και καταγγελίες για βιασμούς.
Στο Ουζμπεκιστάν έχουν οργανωθεί πρόχειροι καταυλισμοί, οι οποίοι όμως δεν ήταν .......
........ προετοιμασμένο για το μέγεθός του προσφυγικού κύματος.
Επίκεντρο των ταραχών είναι οι πόλεις Ος και Τζαλαλαμπάντ στο νότιο τμήμα της Κιργιζίας, σε μικρή απόσταση από τα σύνορα, όπου κατοικεί μεγάλος αριθμός Ουζμπέκων. Στη πόλη για τέταρτη συνεχή ημέρα ένοπλες ομάδες Κιργίζιων ανταλλάσσουν πυρά με Ουζμπέκους και προβαίνουν σε λεηλασίες και καταστροφές κατά των περιουσιών τους.
Μέχρι στιγμής έχουν αναφερθεί 138 νεκροί και οι τραυματίες ξεπερνούν τους 1.800. Ο πραγματικός αριθμός των νεκρών φαίνεται ότι είναι πολύ μεγαλύτερος και πιθανόν να ξεπερνά τους 200, σύμφωνα με ηγέτες των Ουζμπέκων.
